For Owners

For Owners

Registration protects the value of a horse by making its record checkable.

Ownership

What The Record Does For An Owner

What Registration Gives You

A verified identity for your horse, confirmed parentage where the evidence exists, and a passport issued by an independent registry.

Continuous Ownership Record

Each change of ownership is notified to the Studbook and recorded on approval. The history is never broken, so every future buyer can see it.

The Passport Travels With The Asset

The passport stays with the horse, not the owner. On sale, it passes to the new owner with the transfer recorded.

Transfers

How A Transfer Is Recorded

  1. The current owner submits a change of ownership form.
  2. The registrar checks the passport and both parties.
  3. The transfer is approved and added to the ownership history.
